SOLeRA: A New eRA

SOLeRA: A New eRA

It’s been quite a year, and I’ve been reflecting on the direction I want to go in.

Since my last update, I’ve made a tough decision regarding the future of Fleur, and it’s time to address something I’ve been hinting at for a while. There's another farm (actually multiple farms) with a name that’s very similar to mine, and this has led to some confusion. Despite Fleur's growth and the wonderful, loyal community we've built, many people have been mixing up my farm with another one that sells dahlia clumps and ranunculus.

Unfortunately, many of the messages I’ve received due to this mix-up have been from customers upset about issues like gall in tubers or missing orders — problems they believed were connected to my farm. While none of these issues have ever come from my farm, the confusion has the potential to harm my earned reputation and undermine the years of work I’ve put into maintaining a healthy, high-quality farm here in upstate NY. Protecting the integrity of my brand, my tubers, and my customers’ trust is one of the main reasons I decided a rebrand was the best step forward.

Despite my efforts to clarify through my website, exclusive varieties, and pointing out my unique website domain, customers still mistakenly think they’re purchasing NY-grown tubers from me when they’re actually ordering from other farms. I’ve always respected these farms and never called them out by name, but the time has come for a change.

After considering a rebrand for a while, I’ve finally made the decision to take that step.

So, it’s with excitement and purpose that I introduce: SOLeRA.

Why SOLeRA? “SOL” represents the sun, which fuels both my soul and my flowers. “eRA” signifies a new era in my life. This marks not just a name change, but a new chapter where I’m focusing on what truly ignites my passion and connects with me on a deeper level.

This is more than just a rebrand; it’s the beginning of a SOLeRA—a soul era. It’s that feeling of August, a time of transition, growth, and renewal. A completely unique era for me, and I can’t wait to take you all along for the journey.

Thank you for your unwavering support and love for my flowers. Here’s to the next chapter with SOLeRA 🫶🏼

Hi,

We can beat your current pricing for custom packaging materials like product boxes, mailer boxes, or shipping boxes.

We provide custom packaging material of any kind at lowest prices, short delivery times, and with minimum MOQs.

If you do not have the artwork ready, we can do that for free too.

Hello, I placed a tuber order (order #2529) and would love some information regarding shipping dates. I start my tubers inside and would like to get started ASAP. Any info. is appreciated. I do live nearby and would be happy to pick up if that is allowed and could expedite things. Sorry to leave this as a comment however I don’t see where I can email privately. My order may be under my personal email, which is catalfamo.lisa@gmail.com
I hope to hear from you,
Best,
Lisa

Hi!

I just saw you at the dahlia sale in Saratoga and asked about picking up my tubers that I ordered online instead of having them shipped. My order numbers are #2490 and #2504. I did pay shipping, if it’s possible to get that refunded that would be amazing but if not I totally understand. Let me know if it’s possible to pick them up around late April? Thanks!

Good morning. There was an error on my part where I ordered pretty much the same tubers in error- meaning I have 2 orders – I’d like to cancel one please- please cancel order 2638 (you can see I ordered pretty much the same thing on order 2369). Your help is much appreciated. Thank you, Lassalete Costa

Hi,

My name is Adam, and I work for Botanical Brothers, a Brooklyn-based florist and delivery company. We design our arrangements using as much of what is seasonally available as we can, and a big focus for us this year is increasing our sustainability by sourcing from more local and regional growers whenever possible.

I’m reaching out in the hope you might be interested in selling to us. I’d love to learn more about your availability, the types of flowers and foliage you grow, your seasonal timeline, and your general capacity.

Thanks so much, and I’d love to learn more about your farm.

Best,
Adam
